Let's talk about your need for holy leisure, interior freedom, poetic education, creative expression and cultural engagement. Authentic, joyful, humorous...many talks to choose from...custom crafted presentations...workshops, retreats, group facilitation...let me help you!
Michael has about 20 hours left of his fifty-with-Mom, then Madeleine, my last driver-in-training, will begin. Whew! It’s been a long haul, but each time I’ve renewed these ‘life lessons to teach teens while driving,’ I’m glad I started writing them down. With each driver, I’ve added a few more, and reviewer-pals have made suggestions along the way.
Improvements to the final manuscript will include more detailed explanations of some concepts that are practically code words for us by now. I continue to assert that “I love Driver Education time with my teens,” and to hope you will, too. This, despite the fact that finding those fifty hours in a busy life, and starting up that steep and stressful learning curve one more time sometimes takes a lot of prayer, and deep breathing! My kids, if my life is a clue, may spend more hours driving cars than in church, so I’m trying to establish an indelible impression that driving and theology, philosophy, life and prayer all go together – like road trips and peppermint oil, or bubbles and freeways.
Let me know if you’d like to reserve a copy in advance. I hear January is National Teen Drivers Month (for heaven’s sake!), and so hope to have this to offer in January, 2016. Meanwhile, please pray for this project, and thanks for your interest!
